Cosmetics and body care industry in the Netherlands - statistics & facts
Although the United States and several Asian countries, including China and Japan, dominate the global cosmetics and body care market, Europe also plays a competitive role within the industry. In recent years, some of the frontrunners of European cosmetics and personal care had been Germany, France, and Italy, each accounting for an estimated market share of around 15 percent. While the Netherlands did not lead the list in terms of revenue, the country’s domestic sales of cosmetics continue to grow and have increased considerably between 2021 and 2023.
