Previously known as Jysk Sengetøjslager (literally translates to “Jysk Bedding Warehouse”), and in German-speaking countries as Dänisches Bettenlager (“Danish Bedding Warehouse”), Danish furniture retailer JYSK gets its name from the peninsula it was founded on – Jutland. JYSK is Denmark’s equivalent to Swedish giant IKEA in a smaller format and in a similar manner, it provides a wide range of affordable furniture pieces in a typically Scandinavian minimalist style. The brand is prominent in Europe with over 3,150 locations scattered across the continent.
