Over the course of the past decade, the United Kingdom’s production of flowers and plants, as well as the income generated from this saw an increase of over 40 percent, reaching 1.7 billion British pounds by 2024. Annual retail sales of gardening products such as flowers, plants, and seeds also saw an upsurge, going from an index value of 54.8 in 2011 to 97.3 in 2024. As of May 2025, the overall sales of garden centers increased by four percent, compared to May of the previous year. As expected, garden center sales usually boost during the warmer spring and summer months.
