E-commerce in BRIC - Statistics & Facts
Projections for the e-commerce market in BRIC countries are optimistic. E-commerce sales in all four countries are expected to rise between 2017 and 2021. China is, by far, the most valuable e-commerce market in the group, with forecast to generate nearly 840 billion U.S. in e-commerce sales revenue by 2021, a significant increase from the previous years. In 2016, China generated 376.2 billion U.S. dollars in revenue from e-commerce sales. That year, the number of digital buyers in China stood at an estimate of 468 million.
