E-commerce in Latvia - statistics & facts
Even though the Latvian e-commerce market is the smallest in the Baltics, it is expanding at a steady pace. In 2023, the revenue from online sales in the country is estimated to grow by over 11 percent from the previous year. This high adoption of digital shopping platforms is supported by the widespread internet access in Latvian households, which stood at over 93 percent. The major e-commerce platform in the country is 220.lv. It belongs to the Lithuanian company Pigu and offers goods in various categories, such as electronics, personal care, and apparel. In July 2023, 220.lv recorded 2.5 million visits, one of the highest traffic figures among online marketplaces in the Baltics.
