Online shopping behavior in Russia - statistics & facts
Despite the exit of major Western e-tailers, online shopping remains highly popular in Russia, particularly given the rise of large online marketplaces, such as Wildberries and Ozon. Not only do consumers use the internet for ordering products, but also for research and recommendations, with more than six out of ten Russians finding online customer reviews helpful. Furthermore, it is a common practice among Russian-speaking influencers to share the Wildberries or Ozon article codes of recommended products so that their followers could find them. Overall, Russia had the most social commerce users among Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.
