Fashion e-commerce in Mexico - statistics & facts
As in most parts of the world, e-commerce served as a crucial lifeline for the fashion industry in Mexico during the COVID-19 restrictions. While online shopping for apparel, shoes, and accessories was already on the rise before 2020, the pandemic gave it an unprecedented boost. In addition to providing a platform for Mexican fashion to gain exposure locally and abroad, e-commerce has made global trends more accessible to Mexicans. As a result, forecasts indicate a nearly 50 percent surge in revenues from fashion e-commerce between 2022 and 2027, reaching more than 10.5 billion U.S. dollars.
